I have very dye resistant Gray hair does anyone know how to make color last longer than a week?

I've been using Loreal Excellence Creme Resistant Gray formula and have not had those evil little hairs lose the color at all. I have used many, many brands of color and that is the only one that stays on my gray. You can find it at Sally Beauty Supply and you will need to buy 20 volume creme developer and an applicator bottle if you don't already have them.

Try One Of The New Haircolors for This Problem. CLAIROL® Nice 'N Easy Gray Solution /L'OREAL Excellence Creme. Or You Could Try This "Professionals" Tip. Apply The Color Without The Peroxide Or Developer And Let It Work For About 10-15 Min. (You'll Need Two Kits/ Bottles Of Color) Then Towel Blot to Remove "Excess" Moisture (Don't RUB And Don't Rinse) Then, Mix A Fresh Batch Of Color (With Developer) And Apply For The Normal Amount Of Time. it actually depends on if you are using a permenant, semi-permenant, or a demi-permenant color if it is only lasting a week then it is a semi-permenant or a rinse, and if the case is you dont want a permenant..then the next best thing is a demi-permenant for this will open up the cortex of the hair and the color is deposited like a permenant color, but it only last for a few weeks. So I would suggest going to the local salon for a free hair counseltation and see what product the stylist would recommend for your hair...because you would need a hair analysis in order to find out more about the texture of your hair and porosity (how absorbant) of your hair....then go from there

Just read the box of hair dye, it will say if it works on grey. only other option...get a hairdresser to dye it
