Brenda, Brenda, Brenda........
You started off so well.
Eggs and rabbits are part of the paganism that christendom has allowed to seep into supposed 'christianity.'
"floating up to heaven" is a cheap shot that's beneath you and your intelligence.

Where did you hear that this "undead messiah" did any floating or did any time in hell?
Speaks to your education level and your actual understanding of what you are attempting to judge. Before you go around playing MythBusters with religion, you ought to take a look at a book or two and get your facts straight.
I suppose Santa Clause was also the one who flew the wise men to see the baby Jesus? Who cares? Coloring eggs is fun, eating a big meal is satisfying, and bunnies are cute. Any Christian with a brain and a couple of kids shouldn't have a hard time explaining the difference between silly yet fun tradition and the actual events of the Ascension.

I celebrate Easter - the Resurrection of my Lord. And yes, I love the whole rabbit and brightly colored egg thing. They represent newness, renewal, life and are fun. I don't believe the Lord has a problem with Christians having fun and celebrating life. Remembering that all these concepts exist for the Christian because of Christ's Resurrection is truly something to celebrate!

I do not celebrate Easter. I celebrate the Resurrection of my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Rabbits and eggs come from the Pagan Holiday, in Babylon, known as Ishtar, otherwise known as Easter. It is about a moon goddess who had a son who died, otherwise known as Ra in Egypt, known as the sun god. This false religion has intertwined itself to take away from the one true religion of Christianity. Too bad that you do not believe in Jesus who makes it possible for you to inherit eternal life. If you would receive Him as your Lord and Savior, He would manifest Himself to you.

No eggs here.
(I think you have Easter and Pentecost confused or twisted together wrongly) Maybe you should do a quick read of the New Testament next time so you at least know what you are bashing.
Good Luck!
Peace!

It is more believable, at least rabbits have eggs (although they remain in the womb). Our kids will hunt for eggs as usual and we will talk about the changes we've seen in the world since St. Patty's Day and Ostara. And we eat way too much candy.
