In Christian countries, fundamentalist Christians. In Muslim countries, Muslims. Worldwide, both.

Right now it is fundie-Muslims, because they have adopted more radical techniques. However, the fundie-Christians are trying to use this as an excuse to eliminate much of the progress that came out of the Enlightenment and post-Enlightenment era (for example, the U.S. Constitution, freedom of religion, the perception of women as fully human beings, and the neutrality of science). I think that fundie-Muslims have a much tighter hold on society in their countries. If Richard Dawkins had lived in Saudi Arabia or Iran, we would never have heard from him. Look what was done to Salman Rushdie. To defend Christians for a change, I haven't heard too many of them make any sort of death threats, except maybe Ann Coulter.

WOW! What a fine question and.... As a "high profile" Theologian, I believe that I am best qualified to answer this important question.

In the aftermath of 911, it is clear that the most dangerous thing on earth is a fundamentalist Muslim.

Christianity, however, is pristine and perfect and no one under it's true influence could ever harm anyone or anything.

Just believe me on this..... I am, after all, a Theologian.

In Islamic scriptures it tells about how God slaughters the enemies of Allah, and how people who do not believe in Islam are infidels who are wirthy of death and women are oppressed and you cannot be homosexual and on and on..

While everyone knows that The Bible has a good God who never would harm the head of anybody and would never make a place called Hell which seems like "OVERKILL" and not very long-suffering or compassionate or merciful.

Our God, Jehovah would never order his people to destroy other people or to kill anyone who, say, was homosexual or accused of being a witch, etc, etc.

God's people have always been a light in the world. The HIstory of CHristianity has never had any dangerous extremism. Oh, what? The inquisition? Oh the Inquisition was a lie. They didn't use the Bible for their Christianity. They were Catholics and what do they know about the Bible - other than the fact that they wrote it, I mean.

Fundie, as you put it, Christians are the salt of the earth. The Bible is the Perfect Word of God and if you pray real hard and have a pretty good mind, you can read it any way that you want and it will be right because it is God's Word.

Fundies wanted Galileo to say that the Sun was not the center of our solar system because it is in the Bible, so As a theologian and not a scientist, Christians must believe that the Earth is the center of the solar system.

I mean, science is only a faith right? They can choose to believe (BY FAITH) that the "SUN" is the center of the solar system if they want to, but we CHristians have a faith that is based on TRUTH, and must believe that the Earth is the center, as the Bible says:

Fundie Muslims are definitely the greatest and most immediate threat. They want to destroy America. They want to kill all Christians, Jews, and Communists (like the witch hunts of old, a communist is anyone who Muslims want to kill that isn't a Christian or Jew, namely Atheists.).

But Fundie Christians are also dangerous in that they provoke Fundie Muslims. Most Fundie Christians welcome a third World War fought between the Christians and the Muslims because they delusionally think that Jesus will miraculously appear in the clouds before the fighting actually ensues and whisk them away.

They are both big threats. If muslims had been in the christians place and the christians had been in the minority countries, who is to say it wouldn't be the other way around? Right now radical muslims are doing worse things than radical christians but this is because of the ongoing war. 9/11 sparked these radicals to go into action but before that no one even payed that much attention to muslims. They weren't considered as terrorists then. So I think it has a lot to do with the position they are in and I do believe that if the roles were switch, the situation would still be very similar.

A muslim is not allowed to kill unless he has to defend himself. The 2nd biggest sin in islam is murder.

In recent events, Extremist Muslims have been getting alot of press in the media about terrorists attacks, bombings etc. but Fundie Christians can cause more mental harm than physical which I find to be worse.

Fundie anything. Fundie christians tend to be somewhat more hypocritical but I don't think that makes them more dangerous.
