It isn't.
The Church that Jesus left for us is there to help us get to Heaven, that is it's only reason for existence.
Why would they want to corrupt Christianity?
Peace!

Oh you poor silly creature.
There are no Vatican secrets. It's a similar myth to all witches are devil worshippers.
What most people just don't get is that there is nothing "secret" about the supposed "Secret Vatican Archives."
It's the name of a library. Yes, even the REAL men in black have a sense of humor.
A library than anyone can access. People have been doing so for years. That's how all these supposed "secrets" are so well known.
Someone like Dan Brown states he was "digging around the secret Vatican archives" - people don't realized it's a library CALLED "Secret Vatican Archives" so they all think he "uncovered" something.
Please - check the link below for a virtual tour of the "Secret Vatican Archives."
Next time you're in Rome, pop on by the Holy See and take a PHYSICAL tour!

OOooooohhhhhh I have said for a very very long time that I would love to get into the library at the Vatican and the secret library, too and see ALL the manuscripts they have kept secret and away from the eyes of the world.
Those manuscripts belong to the world and we should know what they are and what they contain.
The Catholic leaders for hundreds of years have always changed doctrine in order to fit their agenda and called it God's word. I'd really like to see all the proof.
The "creature" below me is mistaken. If she would do her homework and go back to the first 300 years after Christ's death and look at the meetings held by Constantine, plus do your own research you would realize that there are some shady things that don't quite jive.
I do not need the likes of Dan Brown or any other fictional author to tell me what to believe. I will read all sorts of things BUT, I come to my own educated conclusions.
A priest once said to me that if we question our own religion and spirituality, it only proves that we seek to know the truth.

I'm not sure Christianity needs the Vatican's help with that.

For the Vatican to have secrets, it would mean they had to know something.

The same way it is being corrupted by evangelists who try to divide people, use hate as a method of teaching, and ignore the true teaching of the New Testament. The teaching of love.
Unfortunately, too many conservative evangelists are ignoring this to pursue their own narrow political goals and narrow ideas about Christianity.

No concern there. The true church is in no danger. The visible entity calling itself the church is under judgement, rejected by the authority it claims to espouse. Most people know that. Including the rulers of this world.
