There are manuscripts of Matthew, Mark, and Luke that have been dated at 60 AD, about 30 years after Jesus's death and resurrection. Also, the Bible has not been changed over time, the New Testament is the most historically valid ancient document in the world. No other document comes even close to it. Pick up the DVD, Jesus, Divine or DaVinci, and you will see how historically valid the New Testament is.

With all due respect, your 'facts' are a tad off.
The book of Matthew was written 8 years after Jesus died.
The book of Mark ....20 years.
Many of the letters, in which events of Jesus life are mentionned, were written 15 - 25 years after Jesus died.
Where does the idea of '100 years' come from?
The rupture in the Catholic church, due to Henry's divorce, was an administrative matter, not doctrinal.
Henry VIII never changed the Bible. He ignored it.
"Translations being lost."
There always has been only ONE translation.
If you want a Bible in Spanish, one goes to the original language and translates it to Spanish.
If you want a Bible in French, one goes to the original language and translates it to French.
Its the same with every other language.
True, churches and popes have become corrupted.
This was prophesied to happen ...Acts 20:29,30.
However, it is the church and the popes that became corrupted ....not the Bible.
For the most part, they ignored the Bible.
The Dead Sea Scrolls prove the Bible has remained in tact over millenia.

many people take the historical aspect too literal. the stories told down through the generations of human existence are meant to evoke some sense of purpose, some testament to a higher spirit, GOD.
unfortunately religions have struggled with internal and external conflicts. disagreements within their own ranks, and sometimes straight up wars with peoples of different faiths.

...and still, it's lasted all this time, always making sense (if interpreted correctly), always bringing people into an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ, providing knowledge of how we can know and love the creator of the universe, STILL CONVICTING THOSE WHO REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT!!!!!
What you've heard is how sinful, hypocritic people have misused it. Have you ever read it yourself? Start with the book of John.

The word of God is sacred and the corruption that you talk about was caused by the corruption of men's heart and their desire to control people.
It is as simple as believing things such as this posting that corrupt peoples minds when they don't have true knowledge and understanding of the Word of God.

Plus if we have free will even the best intentioned scribes could have been controlled by those kings and also could have made mistakes.
