If the entire world was being taken over by a desease that kills all who come in contact with it. They order everyone not yet infected to go to the hospital for some bloodwork. You find out your only son has the exact blood type needed to make an antidote, and he is the only one left with that blood type. The only thing is they need every last drop of his blood to make enough to save the world. Would you allow your son to die so the rest of the world could live????
Think about it people, that is exactly what God did for us.

Let me get this straight. The majority so far are so selfish, they would let the entire world, including their son, die, just to ????? It makes no sence not to sacrafice.

Ok thats just disturbing! Just like you said my man, everyone would die, even their own child, yet they still wouldn't do it. eh! Heres how the rest of the story goes.
Afterwards everyone loves you and thinks your a hero! They are so thankful, send you gifts etc. But as time goes on, they forget about what happened to you, and they ignore you. They look down upon you, they spit on you. No one cares that what you did was phenomenal, and if it wasn't for you and your son, everyone would be dead.. Yet your nothing to them!
Sound familiar anyone? What have we done to Jesus to repay him? And for those who say that God created the disease, and its his fault, you are wrong. Its our fault, Adam and Eve ate from the tree of good and evil, allowing sin to enter the world. God gave us free will, and we abused it! Hope some people read this!

We might also remember that Jesus' bore God's wrath against sin. This seems to be something that is clearly beyond the suffering of a common crucifixion (if that was not enough). It seems that he not only suffered the physical pain associated with the crucifixion, but that he suffered eternal hell for each one of us at the hand of the Father when he was on the cross.
But I didn't really come here to answer this question. I was wondering how the wedding went.
Blessings,
Steve

No, and that sounds like a plot from a B movie I saw on Sci Fi channel about a year ago where the aliens need certain types of human blood to cure an illness that had spread amongest them, so they harvested and drained the blood out of the poor humans who matched their criteria. Needless to say, the aliens were the villians and the hero was the father that would not let his child be sacrificed.

Wow! Very well put. I honestly have to say no I couldn't do that to save the world...which is why ( and I thank my Father in Heaven) I am not God, maker of it all!! I really can not understand God's love for us. Don't get me wrong. I am very much appreciative, but he must love us all a lot more than we are even capable of loving..in order to allow his Son to die for us.

I think it would be the most painful thing I'd be faced with, however at the same time, kowing my sons the way I do, I probably would never have to make that choice because they would just do it. They are both givers and not takers.

No, because I don't love the people of the world that much I think...... That is what separates me and God..... Among other things.

Yes Stone I would....For that very reason. And there is always the example of Abraham. He was willing to give up his son, but because He was willing, God provided another way.

I would explain it to him and give him the choice to save the world and pray on what to do,so to be honest it would not be a quick ,easy choice

If my kid was old enough to understand the ramifications involved, I'd encourage him to do what he believed was the right thing to do.

not exactly. an antidote would have "cured" everyone. all Jesus' death did was split the world into thousands of different religions that fight and kill each other. what a waste.
