OMG, no!! Don't do it!!! Both types of dog are brachecyphaletic, which means they have jaw structures specially designed to lock down HARD when they bite, and not let go!! Once they're in lock-jaw mode, there's very little a human can do to get them to loosen their grip. I have an English bulldog myself, and the breed is known for their sweet temperament, but if he gets mad at another dog, watch out!! He is very dangerous when he wants to be, and so are your two dogs. Tell your friend no, or one of your dogs is going to get severely hurt, maybe even killed.

Supervision doesn't matter. You cannot control dogs in situations like that. Instinct takes over. If they're actually fighting, not playing, one of you is likely to end up with a dead dog.
Not only that, it's illegal and friggin' inhumane as hell. You have NO idea what kind of damage or pain your dog would be going through.
And if you have to ask this question, you should not own a dog. I'm sorry, but it's plain common sense.

Dog fighting is illegal and inhumane. It is incredible that you are willing to put your dog in that position!!! Do you honestly hate him that much??? It will be "supervised"?!? Okay, how about we jump off a building, it will be supervised and there will be lots of people there, we might even make money out of it. Doesn't that sound spiffy??? Ehh... no
You should report your "friend" for this, he has probably done it before. And you should be ashamed of yourself. If you put this on here, then you must be really considering it.

Supervised? Who is going to pull those dogs apart? You and your friend aren't strong enough, unless one of you is going to punch his dog in the head and knock it out. Even then, I think you'd get a little torn up.
Just say no, and tell him to keep his dog away from you and your dog, since he is so intent on raising a monster. It's people like that that give pit bulls a bad name--I'd like to take a ball bat to their heads and see how hard they are after that. And get some new freinds, before the dumbass starts playing with his Glock and puts one in your skull by mistake.

How could you even consider doing this to your dog? Bulldogs are precious animals, and Pit Bulls are murderers to animals and humans. What do people gain from making their dogs fight? Why would you want to harm your dog? This is terrible and if I knew who your "friend" was then I would immediately report him to the police and animal control. If you would put your dog in harms way then he should be taken from you and put up for adoption.

You and your friend are the reason why the public has such a media induced fright of pit bulls. Force fighting any kind of dog breeds agression. If you truely enjoy your dog i hope you do not give in to PEER PRESSURE.

Dog fighting is mean and irresponsible even if it is supervised. It also opens up the door to letting your dog think that fighting is acceptable. I think that you and your friend should fight, and your dogs should supervise, because that is just about as intelligent.

Ignoring the obvious physical dangers to the dogs and the people this is still a bad idea. Standing there and allowing your dog to fight will not be good for his temperment and will likely confuse him if youve been good about discouraging overly aggressive behavior in the past.

Tell him to get a friggin' life.
Dogs don't "spar". They either play, or they fight.
If you're lucky, it will be the former, and you'll just have 2 dogs playing and having a good time.
If you get the latter, you'll end up with a fight you can't break up, massive vet bills, and the potential of being bitten yourselves.
Regardless, his intent is unpleasant, and your dogs shouldn't be made to "fight-spar" for his amusement.

i agree with one of the people that ans the q.
'Dog fighting is obnoxious and deplorable
is question' and yes they can really hurt themselves dogs should only have to fright to defend themselves or their owner at some very dangerous situation but should not allow dogs to fight for peoples own selfish pleasures and bets, please dint go ahead with this......
Also an important fact ounces big dogs like yours and his get a taste for blood the next time the dog might not attack each other but people or kids or other harmless animals and then the dog will have to be put down ........not on the dogs fault but started of because of 2 owners wanting to act tough and of sport.
