There are many more signs, this is just one that is commonly used. There have always been wars and rumors of wars, but not as many as this past generation has seen. You need only look up what Jesus said about the signs of the times, the book of daniel, and the book of revelations. You can see the stage being set by putting daniel and revelations side by side, and the signs of the times show us the world today. You can watch it all unfold before it even happens, you can see the nations ally themselves with whom they will be with later. It's amazing.

Jesus has been here ever since he declared it in Mark 1:15
Jesus is in the Promised Land, a land that he said I go and prepare a place for you. My kingdom is not of this world.
