I LOVE GOD! i worship him everyday but asked if im a christian i say "never", i go to church and i listen and sometimes i pray, but when they ask for christians to stand up...i remain seated.

i was born with club feet (both my feet were broken at birth)
at the age 3 my bones were strong enough for me to begin my ops, my father being from jerusalam (spelling, im soooo sorry) took me to the church near us in his arms, and begged for me to be baptised before the operation, they refused saying "she has never prayed in this church, we cannot baptise her" and quickly had him escorted from the church grounds, by another priest.

he had to baptise me himself in our kitchen sink, i was denied from the church, for not praying but i had just turned 3...and did not have the strength to walk...

i was baptised again at the age 11, and the pope at the time, my uncle in amman got a written letter of recommendation for me to get into a catholic school....u know how?? (read in added details)

he invited one of the popes men, to his house and wrote a big check to the church of england....

and they accepted this, they took a bribe!! and because my church would not reccommend me because i had only just been baptised....my uncle had to do this.

i was refused to be baptised because i had not been a member off the church...

my first baptisim was done by my father in my sink!!

so can someone tell me why next time im asked if im a christian as to y i should say "yes iam"

My heart aches for you, the treatment you received from so-called "Christians" really is horrible.
These people only have religion not the life and love of Christ in them. If you have a Bible read the New Testament and see how Jesus treated people. There were no rituals needed to come to Him... and there are no rituals needed to come to Him today either.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Jesus also said, ""Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

As you read the New Testament ask God to show you what He really is like. A true Christian is not someone who just has the label of Christian and goes to church, a true Christian has Jesus living in His life.

Being a Christian means to be a Christ follower - one who has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ forgiveness for their sin.
For all have sinned and fallen short of God's standard.
It's a personal choice to become a Christian.
You say you love God, and yet you say you are not a Christian - which don't actually make sense.

Accepting Christ's forgiveness is a gift - why would you not want to receive it, why would you not want to be forgiven, cleansed and made free.
He who the Son sets free-is free indeed!

I trust that you will repent and believe the Gospel.
Your very future depends on it - eternally!

'cuz thats the english and protestant church and the Catholic. not all churches are like that anymore.
for example, baptist and fellowship churches arent like that.
and united churches too.

the baptist and fellowship churches says u must be a christian and accept Jesus as ur savior b4 u get baptized, but the united is baptism at birth bcuz they believe that u can only go to Heaven if ur baptized but u may b baptized at anytime after that when u think u wanna be baptized again.

You had some bad experiences but that does not mean that you can't be a Christian. Sounds like you were having problems with the catholocism and not Christianity part. Accept Christ and He will help you to forget all of the "junk" that you and your family had to go through. Having Jesus in your heart will save you from eternal damnation!!

Anyone who worships Christ is a christian.
You don't have to be a memeber of any particular religion to be a christian.
If you really believe in Christ, then you should not be ashamed to call yourself a christian. There is a passage in the Bible that reads that if you are ashamed of Him, He will be ashamed of you.
You might try looking at a religion other than Catholisism.

Actually if u believe in Christ, you technically are a christian. However, I think you are correct. You shouldn't have to be forced into becoming something you don't want to. For me religion is just another way to be discriminated. I have my own believes and I stand up for them, that doesn't mean I have to classify myself as Catholic, Baptist, or etc. As long as you feel at peace with yourself.

A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ, not someone who is just a member of the church. Well, If you know in your heart that you follow Jesus, than yes, you can say you are a christian.

Because Jesus Christ really is who He claims to be. He is the Son of God. He is the Redeemer! But of course, I don't expect you to believe that just because I said so. You can know for yourself. Read the scriptures and pray to know if they are true. You will receive a witness if you are sincere!

Well, it will give you something to be bored at on Sundays (church depending! Don't get your cross covered panties in a twist!)
Also, you can pretend to be really really good like everyone else, and then come Monday, you live your life in "Sin". It's a good way to feel bad about yourself all the time.

Go for it! Save your "soul"!

Church of England? The protestant church? If so, that's not catholic.
