BOTH! That is the best routine. In only a week, you should see significant improvement in your flexibility. Not to mention, stretching before a workout will prepare your muscles and help prevent injury. Stretching after a workout will help prevent you from getting too sore and improve your flexibility.

BOTH before AND after are good. Before working out is the most important though. It helps loosen the muscles and can help prevent injury. I also like to stretch after working out...it seems to lessen the severity of the work out "pain" the next couple of days after.

Stretching is also a good way to elongate the muscles, making them appear longer, leaner and more toned.

It's better to stretch before and after you work out. Doing it before you exercise reduces risk of strain and muscular injury while exercising. Stretching while you stop exercising slow your heart rate and also minimises injury.
(The more you stretch the better! It gets you flexible which increases the amount of exercise you can do!)
