Anybody who is 18 and interested in a 14 year old has some serious problems period. That is illegal for a reason. I know it can be tempting but have your ever watch Dateline MBC? It's disgusting and wrong. You should try to find someone around your age 14-16. Not an adult. Think about it. He's older then the seniors in your highschool! He can easily lie about those questions and stuff. He might not even be 18 he could be 24 but even if he is 18 he should NOT be chasing after you. Your way to young for him and he knows that. He knows better then that. No matter how nice he is. He is disgusting and he isn't as "nice" as you think he is. I was in this sitution once. I forgot to close my message and my mom who was about to turn off the computer found it. Thank God she did. I might not be alive if it wasn't for that. Tell your parents immediantly. Save the messages though and block him from sending you anything. Also you might want to print them out. I know you don't want to hear this but trust me you don't want to risk your life over this,

No, you should not be dating him. Not only is it illegal for someone over the age of 18 to be in a relationship, or having intercourse, it's morally and socially wrong! Don't tell him anything that might reveal your identity or put you at risk in case he was a predator. Just, be friendly towards him.

First, you can search his name on sex offender sites in your area. I'd recommend google, [city & state you live in] sex offender registry, & search his name.
Take in mind though, a lot of predators don't get caught. I'd be really weary if I was you....
An 18 year old with a 14 year old doesn't sound like a good situation. Guys that age only want sex.

Please do not get involved with people on the internet. You can't really "know" someone until you've met them in real life. It is too easy to fake things and lie about things on the internet. Even if the person was telling the truth about their name and age, they can lie about other things - like pretending to be a nice person when they aren't.
And by the way, "I love you" is one of the first things that psychopaths and predators say to girls. That and giving them lots of compliments.
Please please please - do not give out your personal information, like your address or phone number or school. You have no way of knowing who this person is, he could be a serial killer and you would have no way of knowing.

Oh honey, you really NEED to stay away from this guy, any 18 year old that would go after a 14 year old is bad news. I'm sorry you feel that you love him, because that makes it more difficult to leave him alone, but it's what you have to do ... for your own safety ..... I can't say for sure that he will physically harm you (although I have my suspicions) but he will mentally harm you for sure. He's already started. .

At your age, 6 years is too much of a difference. You should avoid this guy as it is abnormal for an 18-year old to be interested in a 12-year old. Think about it this way, would you be interested in a 6-year old? Of course not.

If he seems really pushy about wanting to meet you asap or something, there is a great chance he is a predator. If he's not so pushy, or at least content with waiting to meet you, then even then its hard to say.
Try talking to other people in the game or anyone else that might know him/ have experience with him.
