I am at 171 currently so I have about 45-50 pounds to lose to compete in the range I want. I am concerned about my belly. Last year got to 145 and I guess if I had longer I would have seen it drop more but it is a pooch and I want to know if anyone else has had this problem and have competed and it went away or was small enough to wear the outfits for onstage!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! Set a great diet. Not like cutting out food, but simple things. Good egg breakfast. No snacks (unless to get some extra calories for a workout). A nice sandwich for lunch, and a full plate for dinner.

Lots of sit ups and lots of running. So that for a few weeks straight and you will definately lose quite a few pounds.

I had this problem to for boxing. But my trainer told me to stick to my diet and work my abs. Make sure to work the side of your abs, really helps. And if you want to burn some calories but a trash bag around you and jog.
