Yes, jogging would help a lot.....and dancing is great too. Do anything to get moving. If you're an indoor person get a treadmill. And put on some great music and dance around the house! lol!
If you hate vegetables I know it's really hard to eat them, but they really do have big health benefits. Just eat whatever you can of them, and make sure you are on a good vitamin supplement.
Do a lot of portion control. Don't put food on the table in front of you when you eat. Dish up your plate and put any extra away, then sit down and eat only what you have portioned for yourself. Eat small snacks often, but try to stick with the healthier alternatives. Nuts are good. Cheese. There again, just take a small amount and put the rest away. Don't eat out of a container............you'll eat way too much that way.
Even if you eat the wrong things, getting moving and portion control will do a lot for you. And don't ever let yourself get to the point of being famished. You will for sure overeat if you let yourself get hungry.
Good luck!

Simple Slimming
One of the best things you can do for your overall health is drop a few pounds. Or maybe more than a few pounds.
Being overweight significantly increases your risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer ... the list seems almost endless. Plus, if you do get sick or need surgery, being overweight can make any treatments riskier.
You know the drill when it comes to losing weight -- take in fewer calories, burn more calories. But you also know that most diets and quick weight-loss plans have about as much substance as a politician's campaign pledges. You're better off finding several simple things you can do on a daily basis -- along with following the cardinal rules of eating more vegetables and less fat and getting more physical activity. Together, they should send the scale numbers in the right direction: down.
1. Once a week, indulge in a high-calorie-tasting, but low-calorie, treat.
2. Treat high-calorie foods as jewels in the crown.
3. After breakfast, make water your primary drink.
4. Carry a palm-size notebook everywhere you go for one week.
5. Buy a pedometer, clip it to your belt, and aim for an extra 1,000 steps a day.
6. Add 10 percent to the amount of daily calories you think you're eating
7. Eat five or six small meals or snacks a day instead of three large meals.

Any activity that will raise your hart rate to a training level for 20 minutes or more (more is better) is good. Doing something will always be better than nothing. As you get more and more use to exercise be it jogging or dance and so on try to add in exercise with LIGHT weights, does wonders to burn callories.
As for Diet... Do a little research and find some thing you can live with as a life change that doesn't kill you. I like the concept used by Nutri-Systems but you don't have to do Nutri-Systems to do it. Just look up info on the web about the Glycemic Index. Put simply, avoid things that will raise your blood sugar: Potatos, white bread and so on...
Also portion control, portion control, portion control. Don't eat more at one meal than the size of your fist.
Drink water 8 - 8oz glasses a day. It helps you drop water weight because if your body is getting water on a regular basis it doesn't store as much. It also does other good things for your system.
Best of Luck

Jogging would definatly help but if your not an outdoor person it's going to be hard for you to stick with it. Dancing is awesome!!! You shouldn't know what dancers bodies look like. Maybe take a class or two. You get to meet new people, have fun and exercise all at the same time. Also try Pilate's. They work wonders. It strengthes your whole body and focuses on your core (abs). You may want to try different veggies b/c that will really help you lose weight. Fruit is good for you but it's full of sugar - thats why it tastes so good. Try lean meats like skinless boneless chicken breast marinated in something w/o sugar.

Weight's a common problem, and there are a lot of people who are the 'indoor' types, like me. There's always yoga nad mtv- dancing's great, and yoga is relaxing. If you're really into long term- you can always join a gym or a women's fitness center if that makes you more comfortable. Fruits are terrific! And as for vegetables, they can be mixed with other foods and entres to mask their taste. Just avoid pastas and ice cream and I wouldn't recomend eating after six. Even walking's a good form of exercising. If you have a dog- they're a great partner to walk with!
Or walk for a cause- like abortion or AIDS!
Good Luck and Have Fun!

Get a calorie book and write down
everything you eat and drink.
It's harder than it sounds. But you will
find out where the extra calories are
coming from. I found out that there
are 60 calories in the vitamins I'm taking.
Start reading some labels, if your heart
can stand it. It's absolutely shocking.
I don't like going out to exercise either.
So, I bought a treadmill. You can walk
or jog no matter what the weather is like.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Fruit is a great choice...eat good carbs, protine, and lots of water. If you like staying inside try excersise videos like Turbo Jam http://www.beachbody.com/jump.jsp?itemID=176&itemType=CATEGORY&path=1,2,21 I have never tried it myself but I see the infomercials all the time and it looks really fun and good. Jogging will help you out as well. Just doing any sort of activity for 30 min a day will help, just make sure its something you like to do, other wise you may not continue it. Good luck and have fun!
