What are you going to talk about? Giving us some details would certainly help us to guide you better.

There is a huge amount of information available about the U.S. Civil War. I just listened to a college-level series of lectures, done by the Learning Company, that covered the entire war in 48 - ½ hour lectures . . . that's a wee bit more than I can type in here.

I've also read about 30 different texts and books, written by the combatants of the day . . .

What do you need this was a long war with many major battles, changes in generals for the North, political changes by Lincoln, etc. Put some details you want so we can give you the facts you really need not a million pages of writing. This is one of the most written about wars, hit something like Wikpedia to get a general hit list and then rewrite your question as to where you need details.

On Google, type in american civil war. It will try to end the search request and you can click on generals, battles, and a number of others.

Wow, you have left the field wide open.

So with no further information to go on, I have listed a few web sites that should get you on your way.

If you find some battle of interest; simply search the National Park Service web site for that battle.

Good Luck.
