What's "too early"? What time does this crew get up in the morning? At that age, 10-12 hours a night is expected so if you guys are up and running at 5 or 6 am, sounds like a good bedtime to me...
Maybe in a few years, with school approaching a later bedtime could be reconsidered, but for now if everyone is tired and everyone is falling asleep (not crying in bed for two hours), nighty night...

I say it all depends I put my 1 1/2 year old to bed at 6-6:30 sometimes when she doesn't have a nap during the afternoon and she is beyond tired at 6:00, when she doesn' t have her nap in the afternoon I'm lucky to get her to eat dinner because she is soooo tired, but her usual bedtime is at around 7:30 or 7 at the earliest. She gets up at 6:00 or 6:30 in the morning. Whatever works for you! I know people that keep their toddlers up till 12:00 a.m. that is a little to much for me I have to have a set bedtime for my two girls, my 4 year old stays up later, depending on how busy her day was she will go to bed between 7-8:00 but she mainly stays up till 8:00 then goes to bed.

I think you should look at the time the get up every morning. The earlier they go to bed, the earlier they will get up. Plus, what time do they eat their meals? You don't want them to go to bed full. If you eat around 5:30, then bed time should be around 7. Most meals are consumed around 6, so a reasonable bed time is about 7:30 - 8. Make sure they get a nap time during the day for about 2 hours to help them sleep at night. And over tired body doesn't rest well. So, unless you want to be up at about 5 in the morning, do not send them to bed that early. Early to bed, early to rise.

It all depends on the day that the little ones had. if they had a busy day then more than likely they will be worn out and go to bed early. now if its a regular day get them up say around 7 or 8 in the morning and then put them down for a nap around 1 or 2. let them sleep for an hour or two and then let them play there little hearts out. say around 6 get them fed and in the tub and they should knock right out around 730-800. it all depends on your schedule though and what time you start your day with them.

No we have a three year old and she goes to bed between 6 and 7 every night. It varies each day as to how much she does our heads in but also bear in mind she does not have a day time nap and is knackered by the time we take her. We never put her to bed if she doesnt look tired, and she is usally asleep in minutes. We also have a tele in her room and put a dvd on for her to watch and when the dvd has finished she is almost always asleep and the tele goes off when the dvd has finished regardless.

At the age of two my son was still going to bed at 6pm, and would sleep until about 7am. Between 2 and 3, his bedtime gradually got moved back to 7pm then 8pm (which is still his bedtime at nearly 4 years old).

Yea, thats a bit early... They would probably wake up at like 4 or 5 am and be up for the day.
Ive had to push my 15 mo old's bedtime back because he was waking too early (5 am is just unbearable for me!)
You can probably start getting them settled for bed around 6:30-7...

It all depends on your schedule and on how early you wake up. If they are on a set schedule and are tired at this time then there is nothing wrong with this bedtime. As they get older you may want to start pushing the time back in small increments, like 30 mins, so that they don't wake up too early.

Yes i think 6pm is way to early to put a 2 year to bed. I have 2, 2 yr olds and i put them to bed at 8;30pm.
And they will wake up early too and then you can't sleep.

It depends on what time you want them to get up. Do you and your husband have to get up early for work? If so and you need to wake them up early, then it is ok to put them to bed so the get 10-12 hours of sleep. It depends on your schedule. My son will be 3 in Aug, but we put him to bed at 10pm because I work the graveyard shift and he will sleep longer in the AM so I can get at least a few hours of sleep when I get home.
