Just curious-I know it will be combined with the US

A couple of subs with Tomahawks, a Carrier with Harriers, and with their elite para's? If the Brits should so choose to pursue, and they should... They would certainly get their attention.

They could put a pretty good battle group together Aircraft Carriers Destroyers, Frigates, Submarines and Auxiliaries, Assault ships

Naval Force projection in itself isn't enough on it's own, you still have to have boots on the ground and Iran is a very big place with its installations well spread out

The British navy has been in a free fall for awhile. There are complaints that Norway now has a larger navy.

A couple of centuries ago they would have done a lot but now.....They hardly have a naval presence,anywhere!! Too bad, they seem to be doing nothing

The Brit's can stand alone if need be for a while. They have carriers Destroyers subs, basic layout as the US.

Better than the French and Germans. Britain has enough paratroops to drop in and whip the Iranians cowardly asses. DO IT!

just three subs could effectively seal out sea going commerce of Iran, and yes, they have them, very good ones.
