all insect are essential to the eco systems ,even the horrible ones
they once sprayed for mosquitos on the banks of the daunaube ,and as a result all the life in the woods disapeared

insects are part f the food chains
birds ,frogs ,other insects eat them and other animals eate those predators ,and other things eat those animals
take out a link in the chain and everything that follows is affected,

insects also polinate plants and spread the pollen and seeds
so they are farmers as well

some insects may be harmfull to Man and beast but for Nature they are essential.

Not all insects are harmful (I assume you mean to humans). Spiders eat other insects. House flies and gnats will not harm you. In reality there are really only a small percentage of insects that are dangerous or poisonous. In my part of the country we have brown recluse spiders with are poisonous and centipedes, bees and wasps which can sting.
