If christians want intelligent design or creation in science books, then Bibles should have sciencetific statment

EXAMPLE: The material contained in this book, HOLY BIBLE is not accurate or proven to be true due to gaps in the books timeline, history and unofficial authers of the stories or charters in the stories in question. Please keep an open mind when reading this book and that there are other versions of the creation story.

If intelligent design or creationist groups want their views in science books, then I think it is only fare for science to have a level playing field. What do you think?

I think you need to realize that some people think that the Bible IS a science book.

Interesting thought.

The problem with science is NOT evolution, but rather the underlying philosophy of scientific empiricism. The texts should REALLY have a disclaimer stating that the starting point of all of our thought processes is the belief that anything that can't be empirically proven does not exist. THEN we'd be getting somewhere.

I think if someone picks up a Bible, they know they are starting out with a theist philosophy, but it isn't clear from science texts that you are starting with a philosophical worldview that is patently materialist/dualist. Most Christians don't really understand what REALLY is bothering them, so they lash out at evolutionary theory.

And that's the short answer, LOL

Sounds fair.

I really wanted to answer for one of the above answers that talks about college classes on Creation Science. I'm sorry, but seeing those two words together still amazes me. But, what can you do about it?

I guess I would categorize the phrase Creation Science along the same lines as Military Intelligence and Benevolent Dictatorship.

I wouldn't mind that, if the people teaching that "evolution is a fact" would do the same...
I'm a Christian who is secure enough in her beliefs that having such a statement in the Bible would not concern me nearly as much as having kids taught that evolution has been PROVEN when it actually has not been.
Either way, both groups need to be more honest with one another.

What if:

Creation and evolution are the same. The twenty-four hour day is mans earthly concept of time because it fits the physics of earth’s rotation in orbit around the sun, and the spinning of the planet on it’s axis.

What if:

One of god' s days equals a billion or so of our years? To put this into perspective, compare a single atom to our solar system, then compare the average time required for the electrons (planets) to orbit around the nucleus (sun) and then think of the size/time relationship comparing our solar system to that atom. Then compare our tiny solar system, as an atom, to the immensity of the universe. Surely, universal time cannot be on the same scale as mans. If this concept is true, then six of "god's" days could equal billions of years of our earth time. When man interpreted and wrote "god's" word (bible) he had no accurate concept of the universe or different time scales. So six days, (mans interpretation of "god's” word) to create our earth could be correct form both “god’s” word (bible) and Darwin’s theory of evolution.

No because the Bible is not taught in school, but Science is. We should teach children all possibilities. You don't have to read the Bible, you do have to learn Science in school.

The Bible concerns itself with God's truth, not the science of men.

Because that statement would be a lie. The Bible has yet to be scientifically disproven. Everything in it, including a literal interpretation of the book of Genesis, is scientifically accurate. You should try attending a college class on Creation Science where it is offered. It would greatly open your mind.

It does.

Creation is chronological and historical.

Science tries to detail creation. "There was big bang, plants were created, then animals"- hmm doesn't that sound like the Bible.
