Don't use masonry paint on the inside, There is a dulux product you can use for uneven plasterwork it comes in a tub with it's own applicator. You'll find it in most diy stores.
Polycel do their own product which may help you as well. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the product but I know well sell it, so you should have no trouble finding it. Read the tub. Should come in 5 litres.

Interior Masonry Paint

I live in France and due to the dearth of good paint and colour choices over here, I have used masonry paint in a downstairs room and it has given a really good finish and covered a multitude of problems. So to your question, I would suggest you try it on a small patch first and then if it's o.k., slap it on.

it can as long as it is not textured as this will feel gritty, if it is dulux weathershield it will be thick, but if your walls are uneven it is down to poor plastering, and no type of paint will hide poor workmanship.i am a professional decorator and hope this has helped.

Yes, good idea. More expensive than the normal, of course, the water-based ones aren't too throat-grasping while applying.

Done it myself on old cottage interior walls that originally would have been whitewashed, came up a treat.

Yes. It's more resilient than interior paints. Make sure it's water based if you're painting large areas.
