What kind of shampoo are you using? Because Head and Shoulders works really well and don't go to long without washing your hair, otherwise it will just build up. wash your hair ever other day that way you don't wash away the natural oils on your head. When you wash your hair don't scratch it with your fingernails that's bad for anyone to do, just use the pads of your fingertips.

I totally hear you man. I've had the same problem for years.

I've finally found something that works for me. I use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo. Expensive, but marvelous. It has menthol so it exposes the scalp. AFTER that, I use Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment (The orange stuff, best you can buy over the counter). Lastly, I use the Tea Tree conditioner to moisturize.

If that still doesn't work, it's time to see a dermatologist and get a prescription. Don't stop until you get it fixed. Unfortunately, people react very negatively to dandruff, especially if you're young, and assume things about you that can hurt you socially and professionally.

Selsun Blue usually works very well. Stronger anti-dandruff shampoos and lotions are also available by prescription. Some home remedies you could try are

1. apple cider vinegar

mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup water.

Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and spritz it on to your hair and scalp, being careful to avoid the eye and ear area. Wrap your head in a towel.

After 15 minutes to an hour, remove the towel and wash your hair. This is generally done once to twice a week.

2. Lemon Juice

Mix a spoonful of lemon juice with two spoonfuls of vinegar and massage on the scalp. Wash your hair with an egg shampoo after this.

Dandruff is one of the major disorders of the scalp.Poor hygiene, improper diet ,sluggish condition of the scalp caused by poor blood circulation are the main causes of dandruff. Head & Shoulders Intensive Formula is really good. Leave the lather on your scalp for 3-5 minutes before rinsing.

Massage your scalp w/ a drop of jojoba oil after your hair dries to moisturize and sooth it.
