I got a dog but i dont know how it grows it is a Chihua-hua and my teacher asked me if i could find out why they stay small.

To make a dog small there is a lot of inbreeding & line breeding.

Out crossing makes dogs large.

Both the extra small and the extra large have genetic problems. Many genetic issues are ignored in order to breed for specific things such as size.

It's all about the breed. Chihuahuas have been small for a long as they have been around. In history you will find that Mexico is the origin of the Chihuahua. Montezuma had one as a companion. The breed has changed alot but they are still small dogs. Chihuahuas are small but they do have a big personality.
