my friend gave me an ultimatum the other day i had to hcoose betweeb her and this guy that i have liked for a while...the thing is he is in 5 of my classes and is my lab partner. she gave me this ulimatum b/c he made out with another girl and he's suppose to be coming over..but we arent dating we are just friends. i dont know wat to do lose a friend or gain a potential boyfriend.

You should respond to every ultimatum the same way, tell them to take a hike.
She is trying to force you to do things she whats you to do, that is not the sign of a true friend. She is manipulative, selfish and controlling, not something you want in a friend.
This has nothing to do with the guy, this is a "you and her" issue.

Sweetie,"boyfriends are a dime a dozen,but friends are there til the end".I was with this male for a very long time,we were committed to each other,had plans of a future etc etc.We split,and all the time i had put my friends after my boyfriend.When i needed them,they were not there.They had better things to do,just like i did when they wanted to hang out or whatever.There is nothing wrong with having a boyfriend.If he is going to go makeout with other females then maybe its best you dont date him.You need to sit down with your friend and decide if there is something else.If he isnt in a relationship,and he kissed another female i dont find that to be a problem.If you two are only friends,and hes coming over to work on a project i dont find that to be a problem either.Maybe there is more to it than you understand.Try to get her to talk,and ask her specificly if there is another reason why she doesnt feel you should hang out with him.If there isnt,this is ridiculous.If she just doesnt want you two to be friends,then you need to speak to her and tell her you are friends,you are working on a project and your are just friends and nothing.You will have to decide.None of us can tell you which way to go,but you have to choose or your going to lose a best friend.I hope you make the right choice,but she shouldnt even be making you choose.Good luck hun,and have a good day!

What kind of friend is that? I'd tell her that I have him in 5 classes, hes my lab partner, not my bf. I'd also tell her she doesnt run my life or pay my bills shes out of her league giving out ultimatums to me. I'll do what I want when I want and if she doesnt like that and wants to be someones boss shes picked the wrong girl.

She gave you the ultimatum for one of two reasons...#1 she's selfish or #2 she's looking out for you. If its #1. choose him, if its #2 choose her. I personally hate ultimatums and tend to choose not to have anything to do with the person who gives them...they are power plays.

think about it this way if he was really into you would he had made out with this other person? so don't be to quick on picking the guy over your friend she may see things you dont because you like the guy. think about it.

She is just jealous!!! If your not an item then y shouldn't he kiss another girl. If you were together then i could see her point otherwise tell her to keep her nose out
