I know it seems really unfair that your mom won't let you go, but try to understand her concerns. There are a lot of bad things that happen during spring break to people. She is looking out for you and concerned for your welfare. Maybe if you sit down with her, calmly and keep your emotions out of it and explain what the plans are, who is going to go, where you will stay, and how you plan to pay for it she may be more receptive to letting you go. Maybe she'll let you go for a few days but not the whole week? I know you think it's over protection on her part, but try to read the newspapers and see all the bad things that are happening in the country to see why she is afraid for you to go to this.

Ummm... there's a REASON why your mommy's not letting you go to Spring Break. I'm gonna guess it's because she doesn't want you to get passed around like a hot potato by 20 guys, if you get my drift.

I have a daughter. And the only way she's going is if she works and saves her OWN money. If I had a son, I'd pay his way. I know it's a double standard. Shoot me.

How old are you? If you are under 17, then Mom has made a good decision.

If you are not financially independent and cannot go on your own, then you are too young and immature to go. You know what you want to do when you get there...and that is why mom doesn't want you to go....admit it.
