This has happened to me on two occasions. Both times the figure has grabbed my arm and its made me pass out and then i wake up again. the first time i thought it was a dream within a dream, but the second time i was sleeping in a place a don't usually sleep in and he was there and i know i wouldn't have dreamt about sleeping in this place because i never do. the figure is tall, hooded, and you can't see his face.

Plus, the encounter was very vivid. He has never harmed me in any way. the passing out feels like painliess electrcity is being shot through my body. I don't believe he has intent to harm. the figure is tall, hooded, and you can't see his face. No im not on any medications. I might add that both encounters were spaced a few years apart.

I hope I never wake up to that! That's one of the weirdest things I've heard but I do believe in ghosts. I don't even know what to say about this but I hope that's as bad as it gets!

Historically, this has happened enough to be part of the belief in Incubi/Succubi and other demons. However, recent research into Sleep Paralysis and related phenomena has discovered that the very things that you describe can be explained by the fact that some parts of your brain are asleep while others (limbic system and prefrontal cortex, at a minimum) are awake.
Sleep Paralysis symptoms can include being fully aware and unable to move (has happened to me), a sense of a presence (some people get a view of a figure, others feel someone sitting on them...I get a feeling of an alien space ship in orbit, watching me), odd smells and tastes, and lots more. This is certainly the source of any number of Fae Abductions/Alien Abductions, Ghost Attacks, Vampire Attacks, and so on.
Sleep Paralysis is temporary, normal, and totally harmless.

If what you are saying is true, well, I've been having this dreams where I feel like if two people, things, were pulling my arms in opposite directions...they are strong!! If I don't do anything, "they" just stop pulling for a couple of seconds and then start again. The fist experience that I had was some 3 years ago at my dad's house. I felt like if something grabbed my feet really strong and pulled them, I tried to scream but I couldn't and I think I passed out. Our minds can recreate pain, emotions, and images very close to reality, but sometimes there are things we cannot explain.

I have had this happen to me as well. I actually started screaming. Other times I have felt like someone or thing was holding me down. Now, I have a higher power. But I'm not a wacko. I just say God, or in the name of Jesus whatever that thing was make it leave and no harm come to me. But you might be of some other religion or agnostic. Call on a higher power of good and ask for protection. I know a lot of people will laugh at this...but if it happened to them; they wouldn't think it's so funny. Contact me if you want to talk more about this. There is also something called "night terrors" I think it's psychological.

YES YES YES This has happen to me many times and also this evil being bitten my leg and bruise my body as well. I have been living like this all my life so I know how to protect my self. I pray psalms 23 in bible thur out the whole house with a friend please then i get holy water from the church and throw it all over the house while reading the bible and demand it to leave and go to the white light and let it know it's not wanted there. Also u can buy some sage and burn it in every room for seven days please then take a spiritual bath as well. if you need more info email me and i will see what i can do for you.

hey dude, i have dreams like that often, one in particular... i was held down and couldn't move, there were 2 ppl, one really freaky looking with a large top hat, all in black and it was difficult to see there faces, i totally felt like there was a ghost in the room, like something was telling me that **** was not cool lol (and i am into dreams... this was different). i was a lil shook up but what can ya do... if ghost do exsist then bring it, i'd suggest if it happens again try n stay focused and consious, see what they wanna say. if it was going to harm you i dont think it/they would mind wether your consious or not. all the best with ya new found buddy.
if you get really worried go to a psycic maybe, but a find a good one, lots are full of it

i saw something on the discovery channel about the same exact thing.....it happened to a little girl. It turned out that the house was haunted. The girl on more than one occasion saw a hooded figure.
The freaky thing about it was that people that had lived in the house years and years before this kid had been born would reveal themselves to her from time to time. One would even play with her ---his name was mr. Gordy.
*her parents thought she just had an imaginary friend named Mr. Gordy until one day, the lady whose house the girls family had rented the house from, told the little girl's mom---- she had a great uncle Gordy who lived in the house many many years ago.

I had a dream something alog the lines of yours. like 10 years ago when i still lived with my parents i was sleeping on my futon, folded up as a couch about 7-8 feet from the wall. and i had a shelf on the wall behind the bed with my potpouri sitting on it. anyway in my dream there was this tall figure that opened up my bedroom door, he was dark, wearing a hood, and i couldnt see his face, and he threw something at me, and then my potpouri fell on my head. if it just fell off the shelf it should have hit the floor, but for some reason it hit me. I thought it was my father playing a joke so i ran out of my room, hair filled with potpouri, and started yelling at him telling him how rude it was to play jokes on someone sleeping. but i found out that it really wasnt him, that it really was someone/thing in my dream, real life, dont know. But i didnt sleep in my room ever again!

Oh and to add to this we ended up moving to a different house, and in this one i had no windows in my room, so i know it wasnt from something outside. I was sleeping something woke me up, but i couldnt move. I seen this bright light flash across my cd player and then i got real cold, i couldnt talk, scream anything. all i coud do was just lay there with tears rolling down my cheaks because i was so scared, i didnt know what was going on.

but of course noone ever believed me when i tried to tell them these things, so i just kinda let them go. But ive always had experiences with weird things since i was real little, but lately i havent had any, and im glad!

Are you taking medications of any kind?

Diet pills, birth control pills, and sleeping pills might contribute, so what you're seeing may not be there. If that's the case, I'd suggest laying off the pills and maybe evening seeing a doctor after you do.

If it continues and you're not taking any medications, I'd see a therapist or doctor.

It sounds like a repeating dream...how do you know you "wouldn't have dreamt about sleeping in this place because i never do?" Do you remember every dream you have?

How does he "make you" pass out?

Do you feel threatened when you see him? Scared?

Has he ever "hurt" you?
