I was reading this one question, and an answer in it said "What does this have to do with me". This is not the first time I have seen somebody thinking that everything going on all over the world somehow had to do with them or benefit them in some way. What is so difficult to grasp in the fact that things happen for their own reasons, and that everyone is different? These same people believe they have some right to dictate to the rest of the world how to run their lives. What do you think of people who feel entitled to dictate to another how they are to believe and how they are to think? Do you think they lack control in their own lives, so they think they can play mind games and forcefully make other free minded free spirited human being do as they "command"? Do they get on your nerves? They certainly get on mine. Those who know me know I am a tolerant and respectful person and never intentionally shove my beliefs down others' throats.

And I mean pushing beliefs for all sides. We need to realize that everyone is different and has different opinions.

Everybody on the planet has this thing called an "ego" or "self-cherishment" and we all contract around it to some degree or another, unless we've attained buddhahood.

From a Buddhist perspective everything arises due to causes and conditions and our reactions to their results has a LOT to do with OURSELVES and how we have attachments or aversions to whatever the result is. Perceptions are 9/10ths of the battle, so I don't get agitated by people who think they're forcing anything, nor perceived "smugness" or anything like that... I understand that their behaviors arise due to causes and conditions and some of those might be, very well, beyond their control.

I agree, you're quite tolerant and pleasant on here... so maybe if you try to cultivate that calmness within yourself that helps you understand what I just jabbered about it might make you feel better?

Because they have to make use of their sorry existance. they have nothing else to live for so they develop these massive egos & think they're "gods" gift to this planet..... while they're at it.... why not tell everyone else how to live their lives, yeah? Sounds great!

I think it's funny because there is so much irony in someone wasting their time reading a question that (according to them) has nothing to do with them....... and then on top of that they take the time to actually stop & post "What does this have to do with me?" ....... If it didn't have anything to do with them why did they bother with the question at all? Easy answer.... see the first part of this answer.

Humans have egos. Four centuries ago we assumed that the earth was the center of the universe and that a personal god cared about our every action. How little our species' ego changes, even though science has shown us what is real.

One of the main characteristics of man is his total and absolute arrogance.
We very seldom are willing to recognize we are wrong.
We always want to impose our beliefs, opinions and ideas upon others.
We find it difficult for our pride to accept some piece of good advice from another party.
So consequently, and often enough, our best place to sit upon is a pedestal...

If you are speaking of me or any other Christian. I will tell you that we don't want and can't push our beliefs down your throat.

We are only here to love you enough to tell you what God says. Not what we say or believe, unless you ask. Peace.

P.S. I noticed that you were apologizing for your imperfections. Please forgive mine too.

no one can really shove anything down anyone's throats and if what anyone else says bothers you, it means it is partly true. Examine that instead of other people.

Well the Bible makes it clear that Christians should be servants to everyone. So I hope you aren't talking about us! If you are, my guess is the person you are dealing with hasn't read the Bible.
