The seafood in Australia is unbelievable,in comparison the farmed fish,prawns in the USA taste like they were raised in drinking water.I know it's the problem of trying to feed 400 million in the USA compared to 20 million in Australia,ah the extra taste the pure saltiness.

You must have had a very limited trip to Australia. There are great wine areas in every State and Territory. They even have wineries near Alice Springs. If you want to go to wineries there are plenty to choose from. The Gold Coast would be the last place I would consider for scuba diving. I would start with the Great Barrier Reef, all 2000km of it.
Australia has sights and experiences to please everyone. It is also huge with lots and lots of nothing between places of interest. I would suggest you read Bill Bryson's book "Down Under" before coming over, it will help you to decide what to see.

I just love that we have everything within the confines of one country - it's so amazing. You can go from the tropics then down to the snowfields within a few hours.
food wise - the same sort of thing. You can walk down one street and have heaps of different varieties.
animals - the platypus cos it's just so freakin' awesome, what else can I say?!
