Yes it's the key. Unless you can love yourself for being exactly who you are, it's hard to love others at that level also.

Fake it 'til you make it on the numbness. Use "I am.." statements to yourself daily, such as "I am wonderful"... "I am loveable" etc. It has an effect based on our creative visualization skills we all have.

Having God's love is the gateway for loving others and myself.

1 Corinthians 13.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. GOD

I know you can't love others truly if you don't love yourself. I know you can't truly love yourself if you don't know the love that our Heavenly Father has for us.

I don't think you can truely love someone else if you do not love yourself.
