Well, first you have to define PURE.
To me it's a word that describes the expectation of organized religion and society that labels people spiritually for something that they do physically.
So, with that being said, I say YES!
You can be considered pure.
Because what you feel in your spirit is more relavent than what you do with your body.
I believe that the expectation of purity, whether it be imposed upon a person through their religion or their society, is a way of defining a person as acceptable, and therefore implies a sense of guilt.
When guilt is implied, then there can be no purity or non-purity associated with it. As this voids it. Implied guilt is a control mechanism that religion and society uses to control the masses.
Why would God put us here, give us FREE WILL and then punish us or take away our "position" with him for using it?
So I think what really matters is what your intentions are. Not what your physical self is experiencing. But what the spirit is experiencing.
So I think, to answer your second part of the question, purity (if we must use that word) is a state of mind.
The act and the feeling are one. If the intention is for love and experienced as a spiritual thing, then the body and heart and mind and soul are one. They cannot be separated, so it becomes purely pure.
If you mean that you are no longer a virgin, then that's true, in the physical sense.
But, this again is secondary to the experience of the soul. This is where we gain our greatest experience from it. And in the end, this is where God wants us to learn, in the spirit.
This is where God experiences us, through our soul. And this is his greatest happiness. When he feels our joy, it is his greatest joy.
