your account will be credited and you will have a credit balance on your card that will roll over every month until your account becimes inactive or is closed. In both those situations, your credit card issuer will send you a refund check.

They'll keep a positive balance for a month or 2 (or 4 for that guy above's credit card). If you don't charge anything, they mail you a check.

We get 'refund' checks for positive balances on our credit cards, all the time, because sometimes we won't charge anything on them for months at-a-time.

We just got a check for a whopping 85 cents from one of our credit cards -- that's about the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time.

Nothing, you simply have a positive balance. You can use the fund like a debit card until you back to 0 balance. Some companies may write you a check if you ask them to, but normally they only do that if you close out your account with a positive balance....

You'll not get a check for the balance. It just sits there until you buy something else and let's say you have a positive balance of $3. If you buy something that costs $10, you'll only have to pay $7 at the next billing.

They should send you a refund check in 30 days if the balance is not used. You need to call them and see what their policy, , , call the number on the back of the card, or on your statement

It would not mirror poorly on your credit. It reflects the comparable as though the stability became 0. Why do you care in spite of if it pisses off the organization? I as quickly as overpaid a credit card and then checked my credit checklist, which mentioned the stability became 0. I undergo in ideas (stupidly) calling to attempt to dispute this, and being advised that the checklist purely says in spite of in case you owe and how plenty (if something you owe), and that it would not say in spite of if or no longer they owe you or how plenty they owe you.

If it is a small amount they will keep it for a few months to see if you charge anything. If it is over say $40 they will mail you a check.
