A co-worker has gorgeous color hair, and I asked her if she dyed it. She said yes!, and the good news is she does it herself at home. She gave me an empty box of this coloring product she bought at Sally's Beauty Supplies. It's called "Green Light" made in Italy, 100 ml size. It says this on the box:
Trattamento Colorante in Crema Bivalente con protettivo naturale
Double Action Colouring Cream With Natural protective agents
Diluizione 1+2

You can try www.clairol.com for colors, it has a section called "Try It On Studio" where you put your picture in and color your OWN hair or give yourself a new style. It's massively fun and gives you an idea for colors and highlights and cuts and things!
Home hair coloring = the devil! Hahaha well maybe not that extreme but be careful! I found out that my hair does not take well to dyes and I found out that fruit and vegetable oil-based dyes flatten and straighten curls - permanently. I ended up sitting in the salon crying with straight, horribly frizzy, odd-colored hair when I tried to go one shade darker by myself. It's back to normal now but I will NEVER dye it again!
Leave it to the pros!!!
My mother, however, swears by Clairol Nice-and-Easy as a grey cover. Her hair always looks great and feels healthy too and she's been using it for... well, since my brother was a teenager haha (about 12 years).
Good luck whatever you chose!!!

Texture and Tones is one of my favorite home haircoloring systems. It's gentle on the hair, so I'm not afraid of damaging the hair. It also only comes in natural colors, so you can't get crazy looking hair with this product. Anything that doesn't use professional strengths would be safe (lots of ammonia or stronger than 20 volume developers). Otherwise, call a professional.

I find they're all much the same. Go for the cheapest brand. If you have long hair you'll need two boxes. I used Nice and Easy last time as there was a 2 for 1 offer. I was pleased with the results. Good Luck.

T he best advise to give is to get your hair coloured at the hairdressers i have had some very nasty run ins with hair dyes they will make a very good job of it a head of hair to be proud of and lots of compliments from friends too maybe a bit of blonde for summer!

Be careful about using some of the drug store type hair color kits. They contain metallics that have been known to cause cancer and are harsh on your hair. Go to a beauty supply that is open to the public, like Sally, and ask one of the ladies/men in there. They are pretty knowledgable.
**Spoke to my mom this weekend, she says the Clairol at Sally is the best that you can get without going to a salon.

I prefer both fruits and fruit and vegetables better, however they look and taste. You desire a little of both.
