You really need to be examined probably by a specialist opthalmologist. See your GP to discuss arranging this.

Before using any additional eyedrops or redness relievers, you should seek professional medical advice for this question. An opthamologist = eye doctor, is better equipped to do a thorough exam of your eyes and diagnose the condition that you may have. The eye doctor can tell you whether your eyes are damaged, whether your condition is due to another health problem or any other unsuspecting factors, and refer you to another medical specialist or further testing if necessary. In addition, the doctor may be able to prescribe medication or an over the counter remedy that will help with your "red eyes". Since you only have one pair of eyes, you want to take care of them well, and a licensed doctor is the best solution to your problem.

You need to see the doc. If the infection never cleared up you should have gone back and got different eye meds from the doc. Go now and get this checked out. I am surprised your eye doc or regular doc didn't catch this when you have seen them for your yearly eye exams and yearly physical. Go in now before you do permanent damage to your eye. Never use over the counter eye meds for longer than a week or so at a time without a docs ok.

Are you sure its conjuncvititus? It might be something else such as blepharitus which is a condition where the pores on the lid lid where the lashes grow get blocked. This can be eased by using a cotton bud and warm - hot water with a spot of BABY shampoo (no other shampoo is OK). Dip the bud in the wate rmixture and move lightly along the eye lid (lashes)...Do twice at leats every day. It can be picke dup by a special scan

GO SEE YOUR EYE DOCTOR NOW!!!
Like the first answer, never use over the counter stuff for long periods of time. I'm also surprised that your doctor didn't catch this too. (If you wear contacts and have backup glasses, wear your glasses)

I have used Murine eye drops for years and they work every time even if I have had a late night.

I agree with the first answer but may be it has something to do with the make up you use..
