Try Zierik and Zierick. I have seen both spellings on the Internet. Based on some of the results I turned up, this name is apparently Dutch. It may also be Swiss. Remember, one of their cities, Zurich, sounds similar to this.

Here's another idea for you. Go to ancestry.com or genealogy.com or both, and go to the message boards. Try to find a spelling which sounds similar to the way this name sounds. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of different surnames listed there. You can also do a generic search on the Internet by entering various spellings which produce the same sounding name.

Let me know whether your search was fruitful. You can e-mail me using Yahoo! Answers services.

go to any genealogy site and type in the name the way you think it is spelled. there should be a place where it says, exact or soundex. click soundex and it will bring up all names that sound like what you typed in, the name should show up. good luck.

Sorry about the all caps: That's the way it looks after copy/paste. Some of them look closer to a more usual US spelling than others.
