We may be born equal but that does change. Im not equal in wealth as Bill Gate nor am I equal to the skill of Michael Jordan playing basketball. Brad Pitt is not equal in good looks as myself.Ha ha. Had to put some fun in. Equality changes after you are born. Parents, house, toy, clothes, friends, health
and families etc. Just how I see it Peace out..................

Well, first off, we aren't all born equal. Try telling the children with autism and birth defects that they have equal abilities and opportunities.
Second, most of our lives are determined by the socioeconomic positions of our families. My parents were college-educated and middle-class. I'm almost through college, with a middle-class life ahead of me. If I could have afforded more time to study in High School rather than working maybe I'd have gone to Harvard and be looking at law school.
That being said, there is great freedom for personal choice. I am not my parents, and you aren't yours. We may not be the same, but in strictly innate value we are equal. (Beyond that, I feel I'm not qualified to judge the degree to which we are or aren't equal, since it cannot be based solely on our socioeconomic positions or some other measurable value.)

The only way to achieve true equality in our mortal world is death and birth after that everything changes and the balance of the world cannot be restored.
As we grow older the more we desire possesion. The more we realize that the world is somewhat revolving around money. The more we realize that we need money to live. The more we desire it because the more we have money the more we can have things. The world is divided into three types of people. The elites who experiences royalty and luxury the middle people who have enough for what they need and have few luxury. And the lower people who have enough or not enough money to spend in their everyday need. As you can see the three division is the reason why the world is unequal.
Sorry I cant organize my thoughts properly

Of course not. This world would suck if we were all equal. There needs to be diversity, change, growth. "Change as we grow" could not even exist if we all remained equal. We would just be skipping down the known path to death. Some people go one way, some go another. Some sit on the sidelines and judge. It's what makes us human, it's being dynamic that defines our difference from the average plant or animal. You can't have dynamic without lack of equality.
But it doesn't make one "better" than another. Judge not, just carry on doing what you know is best for you.

Yes, we're all born equal, but we're born sinners by nature. We also remain sinners by nature throughout our entire lives. However, God has given us the freewill to choose whether to live a life with Him or without Him. The difference between the two is one has been forgiven of their sins (this isn't a license to sin) and the other has not. Unless the latter asks forgiveness and repents of those sins, they won't spend eternity with God. God can have no part of sin. They'll spend eternity in the "other place."
However, just because someone has been forgiven of their sins doesn't make them superior to those who haven't. It's a forgiving and life changing issue, not an "I'm better than you" issue.

Well define 'equal'
Some babies are born into poverty, some are not. Some mothers to seek out and get fantastic pre-natal care, some mothers still smoke during pregnancy. Some babies are born in America, some are born in Africa. Some babies are born in perfect health, others have genetic defects.
So I would ask what you mean when you say 'equal'

I think life is like a card game. Sometimes you are dealt a good hand, and sometimes a bad one. Some people even when dealt a bad hand can make something good out of it and come out a winner in the end. Other people who are dealt a really good hand can make some really poor choices and end up a loser.
Don't focus on what you don't have, but make the most of what you do have.

dear friend, i prefer the word same. one n the same more than equal. i'll answer in a spiritual perspective, phiysically we r not same from the time we r born till the time we die. some r healthy, some r weak . mentally too we r different, each of us r our perception, attitudes, belief n thoughts. but at the level of soul we r SAME n EQUAL. we r from the same source. so we r one n the same. but y don't we experiance this unity? becoz we r attached to ur body n mind. the moment we discard our attachement, we will see the underlying of all creation n GOD

After a long life and a lot of observation...I do not see that we are all born equal. What about the baby born with alcohol syndrome, or addicted to crack? What about those born into poverty or not knowing our fathers? Equal right????

We are all born equal in our ability to choose. As life goes on it seems that some people become well favored.I would say in some sense that those who are well favored chose right. It is all in the choosing.
