Note: Before I get started. Brad Morris just who was Marciano protected from anyway? That is just plain bull sir!

Good question Brent and thank you! Mr. Valuev is fighting in an era of very weak heavyweights for one thing and none of the so called champs will fight each other so it is obvious that they are all being protected from fighting each other. The state of heavyweight boxing is in a sad state today.

Absolutely not. Unfortunately, money rules in most weight divisions. Fighters fight for the most money and the least risk. Not just Valuev but all of the "champions".

The alphabet organizations have made a mockery out of what used to mean something. They charge sanctioning fees and then make ridiculous rulings to force crazy elimination bouts and strip good champions in many cases.

There are decent heavyweights and Valuev may be a "freak" to some but when you think about it, how big is Klitschko compared to Rocky Marciano? Vitali would have towered 10 inches over the Rock and Valuev is only 4 inches taller than him. Heavyweights are just much bigger in today's day and age. As big as he is, even amongst the no names he has fought, each one of them was a heavyweight and stood a puncher's chance of landing a knockout blow. There have been other 7 footers in the past and none of them made it to any version of the heavyweight crown so I say give the guy a break. If he falls down against Vlad or any of the other champs or contenders then criticize him but until then, let's appreciate the guy for trying. Unless you've been a boxer and stepped in the ring, you dont know how hard it is to climb up those steps and face someone who is trying to hurt you. And heavyweights pack more wallop than anyone else.

One more thing, for the reader who said he hadnt fought anyone of note, why dont you get into the ring with Monte Barrett or John Ruiz and let me know how that goes?

With the current state of the HW division, there isn't a lot guys out there that a fighter could defeat in order to be recognized. It's true that Valuev was spoonfed but he does have some talent . If he could defeat either Wlad or the Nigerian Nightmare, I would give him credit as a legitimate champion.

Nikolay Valuev is biting off better than he can bite calling out Vitali Klitschko in case you probably did see his final 2 fights David "The Hayemaker" Haye gave him a boxing lesson and almost knocked him down in direction of the top of the combat. And Evander "the real Deal" Holyfield gave him a boxing lesson he fought his coronary heart out and that they nevertheless robbed him of the determination in Valuev's usa that purely wasn't suitable it became probably Holyfield's final risk to win a worldwide identify. the two Vitali Klitschko and his brother Wladamir can defeat "The Russian great" that's no longer a combat this is worth making and that i do no longer think of HBO might have interest in televising that combat i might prefer to work out the two of the Klitschko brothers combat with David Haye so as that they might unify the belts in branch i might prefer to work out Vitali Klitschko vs Hayemaker.

Yes he is, His record is very padded with wins over guys with trash records in essentually fights that boiled down to freakshows. The best boxer he faced may have been Monte Barrett. Plus, no one had ever seen this guy truly fight, and his only true challenge that occured was against belt stallworth Jameel McCline, who loss due to a dis located Knee cap.

It looks like he may well be, i mean how do you build a record like he has without fighting absolutely anyone of any note without being protected. Its a bit of a crime to call him champ really.
