Anything will oppress someone, at least in their own eyes. Your lack of belief could be construed as you oppressing Christians, because you are basically telling them that either they are wrong or that you don't care whether they are right/wrong. By saying they are wrong, it is often seen as a means of oppression by the one who is on the receiving end. By saying that you do not care, you are showing that their opinion is not of any value to you, and thus is on the same level as male cow excrement. This, also, can be seen as oppression because to them you are saying their beliefs are BS, which is an insult.
As for me personally, your lack of belief doesn't oppress me in any way. I think you have a great mind and can come to your own decisions. None of us know the truth anyway...but we all have our beliefs. Blessings in the Light of Christ!

It depends on how you excercise your belief system. You do believe in something whether it's humanistic atheism or some other, even self developed, belief system.
If you are political at all your beliefs definately oppress me. You help to support laws which take tax dollars out of my pocket to support programs such as abortion, teaching of evolution and the normalization of homosexuality in schools, and other programs which I do not agree with. This is just as offensive and oppressive as those laws which put the words "In God We Trust" on our money or if tax dollars were syphoned off to support the teaching of abstinence or intelligent design in school.
What you believe definately affects how you act and what causes you support. Depending on how wide spread the organizations that you support are your beliefs may or may not directly oppress me.

Geeze Betts baby, you opened yourself up for this by asking. Why did you reply to Beans...she gave her honest opinion and was pretty nice about it and that sort of proves her point. Yes, we are all a bit bit** at times that is true...but not the same as a general bad and snippy attitude MOST of the time. If you do not want to hear it, do not ask it. Yes, I feel oppressed by you and usually will not even answer you about anything. I am sorry you lost your faith, but its not my problem or Beans either.

No. But it could depress me in eternal point of view because I care about you...you know what I mean. However, I think it is a good thing to have a free will. I do not think of you as lesser friend due to your lack of belief in God of the Bible. You are no way any threat to this society with your view. : )

Yes it does. We humans are boarding the same vessel and if someone decides to use his freedom to open a hole in his part of the vessel all will be killed. I assure you that if humans follow the guide of God that He revealed to humans all of us will live in pleasure and peace as if we live in the Paradise. This happened only one time in human history at the time of the prophet Jonah PBUH and it will happen again when Jesus PBUH return to implement Islam as the final religion before the end time. Every human being at that time will be good and life will be ideal without evil and sins.

No one's beliefs oppress anyone else unless the person in question is in a position of power and uses his/her beliefs in such a way that they harm others.

Nope. We can still be friends. I won't push my beliefs on you. Living by example is the best way anyway. I shouldn't have to say a word.

Not at all.
You have the choice to not believe. Just as I have the choice to believe. That is the free will that God has given all of us. No one should try to force anyone to believe or not believe.
We who are believers are only required to share the good news of Jesus Christ. You are not required to believe. That is up to you.

It oppresses my freedom to convert you to my same lack of belief. But I can probably live with that, no worries.
