Well, I'm not sure I agree with your statement entirely.
Yes, we are being trashed and perhaps you could blame it on the ignorant, opportunistic peasants that race accross our borders with no real concern for what it is to be a proper US citizen.
As much as I would love to blame them, ...and to some degree I do, I think it is more on point to blame our government and it's lack of willingness to do the will of the people.

I witnessed some dopey looking congressman (Dem.) beating his chest about how the Dems had done the will of the people by starting leg. that would stop the War in Iraq.
I wondered at that time, why are those same idiots (and I include the corrupt misfit Rep. for the same) not enforcing the laws of the land and doing justifiable efforts to stop illegal immigration and enforce our immigration laws? That's even more clearly the will of the people.

Polls show that 90% of American (USA) citizens want the illegals gone and stopped. Why are our crooked reps from both parties not enforcing the will of the people on this note?

Instead they thrash around and seem to be willing to give yet another amnesty. So much for them caring for the will of the people.

Yes, the USA is now and will continue to fester into a swirling ocean of septic sludge that will either consume the poops of the world or will filthify anyone who dares eneter it's septic influence.

We are letting in too many legal immigrants each year, let alone illegals. There is no reason to allow as many legals in when we can't control the illegals. The population of our country is already almost 50 million higher than it would be if congress had not raised the immigration limit in the 60's. If the immigration level stays where it is and the illegals are given amnesty this country will never be the same and that is the honest truth.

Sounds like you are implying that the current immigration of Mexicans is the second migration. That's your first mistake. There have been countless waves of immigration since this country was founded.

Secondly, this is really nothing new. For example, do some research online and look at what Americans were saying about the waves of Irish that were coming to America from 1850-1920:

-They are not assimilating to American culture.
-They are lazy.
-They are violent and are flooding our prisons.
-They are trying to change America to accomodate them.
-They are turning America into a cesspool.

Nothing new there, right? Google "Thomas Nast" and have a look at his anti-Irish cartoons from the time.

This most recent wave of immigrants will be the same story. It take several generations for immigrants to fully assimilate, and the end result is much better. It's true, America will have changed a little as a result, as it did from Irish influence a hundred years ago, but that is not a bad thing.

The best thing for you to do is take a deep breath and learn to accept it. There's nothing you can do to stop it. Once you realize that, the question becomes: What can I do to help my country better absorb these people and make them a productive part of America?

Please study your American history... we are considered to already have had 2 waves of immigration. The first being the africans brought as slaves, the British, Irish, Scotch, German, etc. The second wave is considered to be the early part of the 1900's - which was more German and Irish, Slovak, Italian, Hungarian, French, Polish, Russian, Asian, etc. Technically, this should be considered the third wave. All legal immigrants have contributed to and helped to build this country.

1. Of course immigrants built this country. Before the Europeans began to arrive to this great land, there was no civilization at all until the colonies were built up. That is immigration right off the bat.
