Everyone has their moments. If you know you are not depressed, consider it a break. It is important to give you body and mind a break. Due to work, I use to spend 4700 minutes a month on my cell phone and would go the clubs to relieve stress. These two have gradually been replaced with e-mail and gym. And I do not check my voice mail.
If you are staying at home, look at the hours that you are spending at home and take advantage of it. Ask yourself what tasks you wanted to do before but did not have the time because you were going out. Maybe there were some books you wanted to read. Harry Potter, maybe? Spring is here, gardening, or starting with one plant and see if you can maintain it? You may be ready for change in your life. If that is the case, embrace it, because you only have one life.

no it's not abnormal at all. going out gets old. it seems, to me at least, that there are only so many things you can do before you've exhausted all those options and get sick of: 1. bar hopping, 2. eating out (just as expensive, of not more, than option #1), 3. shopping, 4. seeing movies (again, freaking expensive) ...
There just isn't that much to do "out" unless you get creative and think of more unique things to do. Such as:
1. Visit a museum or local art gallery (usually pretty inexpensive, if not free; some museums have free nights)
2. Visit a local arboretum. Beautiful this time of year and great for a picnic with a good friend or significant other.
3. Go on a nature hike. My husband and I do this often in the woods behind our school and apartment (which are neighbors, quite conveniently!). It's interesting to see different creatures, the change in foliage as the seasons change, etc. Plus if you have a camera, it's a great way to practice your art and see what interesting things you can capture on film.
4. Stay in. It is a great, fun option. It doesn't have to be considered boring to prefer staying in your home and relaxing. I love making a quick dinner and sitting with my husband watching movies, or sometimes we'll just sit and read together, or study for our Chemistry class, pay the bills/ Whatever... it doesn't have to be something "big" to be a nice evening.
=)

I don't think you have anything to worry about.
I'm over 40 and I know that I started going out less often quite a few years ago. It may be part of getting old :-(
I do still enjoy going out but we only go out once a week or even once in two weeks. The bar scene is a bit much sometimes, we'd rather spend quality, quiet time together than shout over a bunch of young, drunk people at a bar.
Hang in there and remember that you may be getting older but you're gaining wisdom also!
You're thinking "big deal", what does wisdom do for me, right? I personally can't wait to get old and be able to say anything to anyone and not give a darn because I'm old and wise and what are they going to do about it? :-)

I went through a spell like that when I first moved into my own place with no roommates, boyfriends or anything when I was 32. I moved in in October and from then until February or March, I didn't do much of anything except occasional trips to the casino. I was just enjoying the peace and quiet of finally being alone. I think it's perfectly acceptable to go through a spell like that.

Yes, its normal. Seems like going out after a while gets to be more trouble than it is worth. What I really enjoy is just having a couple of friends over for a nice night of conversation, dinner, wine, and maybe a movie.

Nothing wrong with taking a little time out and staying at home. You may just need to explore new places to go.

Totally normal, regardless of whether you are married or single or have kids or not. Why go out and waste money when you'd really enjoy yourself more at home anyway? Going out is still fun, just not all the time.

it`s normal i`d say, u are just getting bored & want a change...myself, i never get tired of going out!!! spending a quiet evening at home in front of the tv is in no way, shape or form interesting to me...i like to meet my friends, go out to listen to live music or dance!!! if i have the choice, i will always go out, i`m never too tired or bored for that, i`d have to be on my deathbed to even consider staying in!!!

If it makes you happy then it's normal, why go somewhere if you don't like it. But you could find some new places to go that are nice, this could make you want to go out again.
