Nature's Miracle will get rid of all traces of a pet mess. You can find it at most pet stores.

Petastic is a great performer on removing stains and smells from your carpets and furniture. This brand was sold as Nature’s Miracle for years, and was private labeled by the folks that are currently selling under that name. The error in judgment there was to not register the Nature’s Miracle name.

Here’s a disclaimer about the transition from their web site:

Nature's Miracle® is a registered trademark of Eight In One, Inc. Venus Laboratories, Inc. is the creator and owner of the formulations formerly supplied to Eight In One for its Nature's Miracle® brand. Venus Laboratories, Inc is now marketing the formulation under the brand name Petastic Stain & Odor Remover.
Venus Laboratories, Inc. is not affiliated with Eight In One.

Regardless of the brand you select, you will want a product that has enzymatic cleaners, a little detergent and odor control to get the most out of the process. I learned about this product while making sales calls with a Distributor Sales Representative. One of the best tips was to keep the spot damp for a longer amount of time. If you have a bad stain, place a damp white towel or washcloth over the spot once you spray the enzyme cleaner on the area. This will assist the product to soak in more deeply and better control the issue for you.

One thing you want to avoid using on the carpet is ammonia-based cleaners as the ammonia smell will remind your dog of the urine odor and won’t help discourage continued “bathroom” use.

Start working on housetraining and learn about how to use a crate to assist in the process and you should be in good shape on the potty training front pretty quickly.

You'll want to use an enzyme cleaner. Nature's Miracle recently changed it's formula but still works well. The old Nature's Miracle formula is now being sold under the Petastic brand. They're probably right next to each other on the shelf at a petstore. Follow the directions on the bottle and start some training and you'll be set!
