Fact! The illegals don't go to work, they stay home and they aren't driving! Unlicensed drivers without insurance off the roads! That makes things much safer. (Some of these illegal don't know how to drive! I know they are illegal since they have a Baja California license plate.)
Last year's "day without an immigrant" protest was great! It was quiet and very calm. 75mph on "the 5 north" during rush hour! It's funny how many of the answers above don't know what happens on May 1st. More proof that last year's protest was a bomb - they didn't cripple our economy!

I don't know if it is the SAFEST day in America, but May 1st IS the World Wide celebrated Birthday of Communism.
That is why all Communist organizers use May first to stage demonstrations.
You must also know that all demonstrations occurring on May first are backed by the Communist party.
So why do you think the Illegal immigrants always demonstrate on May first?
Many illegal immigrants are just dupes of the Communists, but you must KNOW that illegal immigration is another tool of International Communism used to negatively influence and degrade America.
If it is Safer, it is only because the Communists are too busy on that date talking to their allies in the press to commit other crimes against society.

May 1st is May Day. It's a communist day and, recently, a day the illegal immigrants have chosen as their day to protest and show their power. I hope, this year, that the government will finally get wise and round up all the protesters, check their identifications and incarcerate all the illegal immigrants and those who hire, harbor and help them!
