I get perfect half-boiled egg cooked within 4-7 minutes. Take note, the eggs must be at room temperature (do not cook it straight from the fridge otherwise it will crack) when you cook them. Put some boiled water in a pot ad the eggs then cook for 4-7 minutes.

One-half the time to cook a hard boiled egg. Experiment and find what is right for you.

All the various ways to boil an egg are here:
http://whatscookingamerica.net/Eggs/BoiledEggs.htm
(I don't know the term "half-boiled"; if it's what I would call medium hard boiled, that should take about six minutes for a large egg.)

Use a tablespoon of butter and after it melts, put the boiled eggs and let it cook for 3 minutes each side. Dont boil it till it seems to be cooked.
