Don't remove it yourself! They bleed like mad! Make an appointment to have it removed by a doctor. I know someone that tried to do it himself and he bled all over and had to go to the doctor in the end. Do it right the first time, go to a doctor!

I had the same thing - 2 tags both under my arm and always got in the way when shaving. I went to the doctors as some doctors will remove it for you, others refer you to a hospital. Don't bother with either. Take ordinary cotton. Wipe the skin with antiseptic (something like tcp). Get someone to tie the cotton around the tag and pull it really really tight. Double knot and cut the ends. It will cut off the blood supply to the tag and after 4 days it will shrivel up and drop off. One day it will be there - the next gone! Doesn't hurt at all.

Since you have a large one and the location is not easy, I'd go to a respected Skin Care Salon whom does this. It would not take much time and will be more reasonable than a Dr. or Hospital.
Advanced Skin Care Salons are now equipped with those Tools.
The hair tying also works but could take a long time (since large) for it to drop off.
All the other recommendations here, is a "HOAX", DON'T PAY ATTENTION.

I would go see the nurse at your doctors practise or the doctor, i have had a few removed and its much better to have them done properly. I have had a few frozen cryogenically, the doctor sprays this stuff on them and them shrivel and die over a few days and fall off. I have also had the nurse take a few off as well and it is much better she slices them off with a hot blade witch cauterises them so stops them from bleeding but ask for a little injection of anaesthetic, as i once had one taken off without it, thinking i would be brave and it hurts but with anaesthetic you barely feel anything and they heal quickly. My partner had a skin tag removed, as well, a large one from his shoulder he had to have a stitch after so i would definitely have it done professionally xxx.

I agree. Go to the Doctor. I had one removed from the inside of my thigh. The hospital basically cuts it out with a tiny incision and then cauterises the hole to stop it bleeding. It is quick and painless and the scab drops off after a few days. I was told they can come back but so far, after a couple of years, mine hasn't.

Good luck!

just go to your doctors...there is a new treatment where you can have it taken off there and then by the doctor ..in just a few minutes..and does,nt hurt...you will end up with more than a tag under your arm if you start using cotton thread and the like......
