It's (shockingly) NOT in our nature, we've been conditioned to do this because without vanity or jealousy our capitalistic economy would collapse! We literally NEED people to be depressed about how they look, we NEED you to want a new car every year, we LOVE that you go out and buy a new wardrobe when you are feeling bad, we GIGGLE when we make teens want look like adults and adults want to look like teens...
Think about it, if everyone was fine with who they are & only had what they needed & didnt feel the need to be BETTER than their neighbors, how would Vogue sell any magazines? How would the plastic surgeon afford his new Porshe? How would "E" Entertainment News flourish?
They wouldn't.
Buck the system, look into a person's soul instead of their outward appearance, because no matter what you do, you can't buy another minute of time and we'll all look the same when we're rotting corpses....
