that is a great idea i kno personally i would love it if you can afford it and you think he would liek it then get it but might i suggest if he isnt much into gold then get white gold if that more his thing just go with whats more his style but great gift idea ;)

That's so sweet! But maybe see if you could get in engraved on the inside of it, next to his skin? Cos it might be something he wouldn't want all his friends and people to be able to read, if he's a bit shy or easily embarressed... Knowing it was on the inside, like a special little secret between the two might make it that little bit extra special and mean he could wear it all the time.
My boyfriend got me an iPod for my 20th and had it engraved with a phrase from a poet he knows I love. Keep it in a case so it can't be seen, but I know it's there and can get it out and look at it and know that I'm loved!
