I would suggest talking about when you first met and what qualities of his drew you to him. Talk about your friendship and family.

Maybe you could do some sort of a mini movie featuring your husband at various stages through his life such as first steps, first day of school, little league, high school graduation, college graduation, wedding day, etc etc.....

Hi,
as one of your previous answers mentioned, don't think of it as a great oratorial speech thing, more just like talking one-to one. It works much better.
Don't write anything down, but just speak from the heart, with a rough strategy in mind, though!
I had a toast delivered to me recently on my 50th, so stood to deliver a reply, and list of my heroic failures in life.
The one about building a very small hovercraft that would only go backwards seemed amusing, for example.
Leave speeches to the politicians - if it is to family & friends, just keep it light and funny.

All the Best,
Bob

There are several ways. Of course it is always good to follow your heart and tell why you love him and why people are happy to have him around. A style is picturing him in 25 years. What will people say? Then take some famous activities and good qualities and describe how they worked out for the past 25 years.
Another is to start with "He is .... "(name many good qualities) and then say "Of course I am speaking about ... then name somebody else! Everybody will laugh. You then take the opportunity to say some good words to your husband.
A last one is to start with 25 years ago. Would we all have predicted ...? (then name some things that are annoying, or funny, but also things he has done everybody admires)
Avoid talking mostly about yourself. That is a mistake many people make.
Success!

Don't think of it as a speech, it will only make you nervous.. Think of it as a conversation between loved ones... Try to find a funny punch line that everyone (especially your husband) would laugh at and relate to. Like "Have you ever been bowled over by the sea? Well, that was the feeling i got when i first met (your husbands' name)" or something like that, just to break the ice. Then just tell the people there abouth what type of person he is to you and all who know him, like "as you know..." or just tell him how he makes you feel.. REMEMBER: it's his day!!! Make him feel like the most important person in the world!! Keep it short, but sweet and memorable!! Good luck!

1. DON'T MAKE JOKES.
2. Say something like "He's the reason everyday feels like Sunday morning, and why i wake up in the morning ready to take on whatever the world can throw at me, because i know he'll be by my side."
3. Pretend to faint, and don't make the speech at all.

Look back over the years you have known each other and write a short story, of the good times and indeed those good deeds he has done to help you and then add the "I love you" at the end.

Depending on the crowd, jokes may be appropriate. Otherwise, speak from your heart.
