I finished my taxes and file through efile. I then got a state letter for an audit. I used my own records for my numbers which now I see are way off after I got my Bank Statements. Would it be bad to now Amend my State and Federal and make it right?

I would advise to amend both the Federal and State, if there is an error on one. then there may very likely be an error on both. If the Federal shows no changes then only submit the State amended return

If it's wrong, better to amend and make it right than to have it hanging over your head. If you amend before the filing deadline, you'll avoid possible interest and penalties.

Right now is the PERFECT time to amend your returns. If you put it right before the filing deadline there won't be any penalties or interest due.
