Social security benefits include monthly survivor and disability benefits. They do not include supplemental security income (SSI) payments, which are not taxable.

The portion attributed to the children is not taxable to them nor is it taxable income to you,
No SSA 1099 will be issued to you or reported to the IRS

If you get a 1099-SSA that shows the income, then you'll need to report it on the return of the recipient.

your children can't earn income. Don't report it. It is not an income
