I just got back from a school camp in the mountains and on the bus back, I felt the kind of pressure in my ears you would feel on a plane. I could barely hear anything and now, 8 hours later, my left ear can barely hear anything. I can usually clear it up myslef by swallowing hard or blowing my nose, but nothing's working. All that helps is if i tilt my head to one side, or upwards, it clears up. As soon as my head is back in normal position, it stuffs up again. It also hurts a bit..is it an infection?

Can you please tell me what's wrong??

it could be an infection, or water in the ear,,,,,,, i suggest seeing a doctor,,,,, if a warm shower with the water running in your ear,,, then after laying on the side of that ear and letting it drain, doesnt clear it up,,,, but especially since you have some pain, a doctor or emergency room sounds like the best idea to do now

I would suggest that the altitude in the mountains dislodged the wax in your ears. Try some drops from the pharmacy to clear the wax, and if this doesnt work, see your doctor. They will probably put drops in your ears before they get the wax out with a no needle syringe, or water jet.... dont worry, its painless.

It sounds as if you may have an ear infection, or a sinus infection. See a doctor.

You could have an ear infection, however, it may just be fluid on the ear drum....either way, I would recommend you see a doctor asap...don't risk your hearing...once its gone, its gone.

could be an infection?
something like a bug (i know gross but it does happen) could be burrowing in your ear?
you could have a build up fo fluid in it (from like swimming)?
you may have ruptured your ear drum?

if it continues to hurt in the next few days then please go see your doctor
