You need to find out if the food you were using was recalled, and you need to do a bit of research and figure out what symptoms you should be looking for. And call your vet!

If it was the Iams canned food that you were feeding, It most definitely could. You really should see your vet as soon as possible to find out what the problem is. If it is from the wet foods, it is a very serious kidney problem, and your dog should be seen so that they can determine whether or not there is something they can do to help.

Please call your vet and schedule a visit to do blood work. The procedure is harmless to your dog and they will know whats going on in 24 hours.
I had both my dogs checked because they were eating some of the recalled Nutro wet food. I knew in a very short time that they were ok.
You need to know so go to the vets!

depends on symptoms, anyone using the affected food are told to take the animal to the vet for precationary bloodwork

Andy, please take your dog your vet as soon as possible. They will do blood tests to find out if your dog indeed has been poisoned. Hope eveything works out w/u and your pet.
