I'm like the guy above me. I give thumbs down to atheist OR christian jerks. I give best answers to christians who have really thought through their answers or made me think, even though I disagree with them philosophically. I have given a thumbs up to fireball!
Christians do the same to me! One gave me "best answer" yesterday but she knows I'm an atheist.
Hurrah for fair minded people!

Thank. You.
I get so much crap online because i'm Catholic. And it's annoying, and half the time they have no idea what they're talking about. I really don't care what religion you are! I don't care if you believe anything or not!
If I said "Well, all *Insert faith here* are *Insert insult here*, people would freak! But when people bash Christianity, people join in!
I'm more than happy to answer respectful questions, but if you're being a jerk, guess what, so will I. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

Do you know where people get their image of Christianity? Look to your TV and Radio. Pat Robertson, Benny Hinn, Pres Bush.... look at how "Christianity" in general is treating people who are different than they are by trying to pass laws against those people?
Granted, most of us have Christian friends in real life (outside of my hub and son, ALL of my close friends are Christian) but, as you pointed out here, when we get online... we see the same crap we see on TV and we KNOW it's wrong. BUT! That is how the majority of Christians online and in the media treat anyone outside of their little circle. Two wrongs don't make a right... but it will sure make people stop and look at the situation and maybe... just maybe... some will realize the harm they are doing in the name of their "Loving God". It's time they realize they can't accuse other people of certain "sins" while they are doing the exact same thing. They can't continue to take away freedoms from others while they enjoy those freedoms themselves. And us outsiders may have a bit more respect if we saw more Christians battling those who claim to be Christian and yet do these things. But we don't see that.... instead, we're the bad people and the so-called Christians are left to do whatever the hell they want, all because they use the label "Christian."

Absolutely willing but most Christians i respond to have already made their minds up and don't want to listen to what we have to say. This is a two way street and non Christians get just as much bashing as you do. However I am willing to rise to the challenge.

I say this via fact which you utilize the be conscious in all likelihood. perhaps your like many that see the perfect international we live in and think of that truthfully somebody created it...Hebrews 3:4 says ' of direction, each house is built via somebody, yet he that built all issues is God'. you are going to be able to additionally be like many nevertheless who say that how can there be a God whilst the earth and existence is packed with suffering and wickedness? Doubting the existance of God is thoroughly your determination and no guy has the means to condemn you. Even God doesnt Condemn human beings to eternal suffering, he needs human beings to stay..a million peter 3:9 reads 'Jehovah isn't sluggish respecting his promise, as some human beings evaluate slowness, yet he's affected person with you via fact he would not want any to be destroyed yet desires all to attain to repentance.' Any stable?

Hey, not all of us atheists are disrespectful idjits. Some are, just like some christians are. Most are not. On the whole, I find that the average atheist's personal morals and social graces are roughly on par with the average christian's.
I give thumbs down to atheist jerks just as readily as I do to christian jerks - and I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that.

That's why I gave up bashing Christianity a long, long time ago. It hurts the feelings of my friends who are Christian.
So, I just decided to bash stupidity, ignorance, prejudice and such.

In truth, there are those on both sides who will cause trouble. Children, adults who use the anonymity of the internet to act without regards for others, and those who are simply so blinded by their path that they cannot even comprehend others who don't follow that path.
Sometimes, all you can do is turn your head and sigh, whether they're on "your" side or "their" side.

Bless you dear sister.
If only more Christians saw the truth of what you are saying.
I guess maybe the ones who don't are probably not really Christians anyway. They just like to pretend.
Love and blessings Don
