am an 18 year old guy, I have a girl of whom I like very much and I think she likes me too, though I am not 100% sure. She gives me lots of eye contact, and we started to talk with each other and she is very nice on the way she talks to me. About 4 days ago, in a university class, she was sitting right in front of me and I caught her trying to look back 180 degrees at me (right in the eyes), she smiled a weird smile and looked straight in front of her (probably shy). Since this day, she hardly gives any more eye contact and is acting like a stuck up girl and hard to get whenever I go talk to her, so conversations doesn’t last long. Though after I caught her looking at me I was very nice to her and did not try to embarrass her at all. what should i do?

Thumbs up to most of your answerers! I have to agree. She's probably figured she's sent you enough hints, already, ask her out! Us girls don't understand that guys need clearer instructions. We think eye contact and a swish of our hair will be enough for a guy to know we're interested. She's probably just given up trying to send the message and figures you must be interested in someone else because you haven't asked her out.

That look she gave you was definitely a flirtation. Once a girl does that it is like she is telling you it's your turn to make your move. Unfortunately you seem like you are not as confident about how to make your move and your hesitation is making her treat you differently. Girls don't always understand that some guys aren't able to read them as well and act quickly.

Don't fret. I was in your shoes. I am now 34 and married so I figured it out eventually. My advice to you is that you are 18, you have nothing to lose and you might as well make your move. If she doesn't like you at all she never would have looked at you, trust me. Just do it! Ask her out. I am 99% positive that is what she is waiting for from you my friend!

have you tried looking at the mirror first?you might have something in your face before you went out, that thing happened to me before. i thought the girl wants to flirt with me, and it so happened that i haven't wiped my mouth after brushing my teeth, its like when Dracula bites somebody and the blood flowed on the side of his lips, mine is the paste, whew i got so embarrassed that day...if not, maybe she needs a more personal conversation, and try to tell her something about yourself and then if she tells something, show your concerns and let her feel that you care about the things she's saying.and then ask her for a cup of coffee, and soon dinner.my another option is;to do what she's doing, play hard to get also,if she stares at you,try to let her feel that she's not that important to you.if she starts to talk to you this is the time that you can use the first advice i told you.sometimes they give up when you do that, girls are submissive if you roll the dice.(take control of the situation)good luck

she sound slike shes just shy she may not be sure if you like her either. getting caught staring can be a little embarassing but its also good cause at least she knows you were looking back. because she is so shy you may have to make the 1st move. she seems like she really likes you though so ask her out somewhere or something.
Hope this helps

I think maybe she is mad because you HAVEN'T done anything more to show you are interested even though she has shown you she is interested.

Show her you are STILL interested. Maybe it is time to jump in with a first "date" of "you wanna go for a Coke?"

Or who knows? Maybe you did something she took the wrong way. If needed, come straight out and ask, "Did I say anything wrong to make you mad?" If she says no, you can say, "I just wondered because you weren't talking to me much lately."

Let her make the next move. It could be that even though she likes you, she might have found someone else to go out with at the moment. Don't embarrass her and keep being friendly with her and if it was ment to be, then she will make the next move toward you.
